What type of information will I receive?
You will receive just as the site states, which is the current registered owner name, owner address, plate expiration, vin (or plate number if providing vin), plate status, vehicle type, and owner age (if not a business owned vehicle). Advanced records contain additional information that may include owner date of birth, lien holder, title information, & other adult names & ages associate with, or residing at, registered owner address.
What if you can not find the information on the plate number?
We guarantee that if we are unable to provide the registered vehicle owner(s) name, address of the registered owner, vin, & vehicle type from any license plate record search, we will provide a REFUND.
Is there any reason why you would NOT be able to pull up the owner information from a license plate?
As long as the plate number was copied & entered correctly, and the plate was valid at one point in the last 10 to 15 years (plate registration records are usually expunged from state records 10 to 15 years after they expire), we should always be able to attain the current registered owner record.
I have been scammed by internet companies before, who do I trust?
Each day we receive calls & emails from victims of license plate search scams. Most of them claim to have been coaxed into a membership for what they believe was a current vehicle record from a preliminary license plate search, or access to unlimited license plate records. After a small membership payment was made to view record from an initial search, the customers were either provided links (or automatically linked) to other company sites so that additional payments can be made for searches, and received false vehicle owner records (false owner names & address provided), or no information was provided at all. In the end, customers did not receive the accurate record they initially paid for, and that they bought into a membership that charges recurring fees.
Unfortunately for you with these type of records searches, scam sites greatly outnumber the legitimate ones on the Internet. The important factor in looking and comparing services and prices from legitimate companies is to first look for the provider's information on the site. Is there a legal business name & physical address listed on the site, and if so, is that business listed with the Better Business Bureau & Angie’s List?

Is my search confidential?
Yes, the registered owner WILL NOT be notified.
Important: The state of which I attain a record from does keep a record of all registration record request made. They will have a record that Burbridge Detective Agency did perform a registration record search in their state. Regardless, the information held by the state will not be released, but the state does have the right to audit any record request to ensure that the information we provide is not being used for illegal purposes. Why must I put a reason in for the search?
It is a requirement by Federal & State Privacy Laws that a valid reason is needed for registration and driver license records. Regardless where you receive license plate records, a valid reason is required under the Driver Privacy Protection Act Law.
What if your not sure your reason fits in the acceptable reasons?
Feel free to call us, and we will be happy to discuss your case or situation and whether or not there is a chance to receive a record from a certain state. But please remember we can not and will not bend the law to attain a record.

What if I know I dont have a valid reason?
If you do not have a valid explained reason, then under no circumstances should you request the information. Nor should you lie about the reason given. Depending on the state, there are criminal punishments for fraudulently attaining privacy protected records.
What is the major difference between the basic / advanced searches to the manual searches?
Since some states dont have an accessible registration record database to us, we must send in a registration record request form directly to the state. This takes more time and money perform.

Generally, you can easily your plate number easily by looking at the issued license plate attached to your car. However, there are instances you need to lookup car license plates without having access to the car physically, you can look it up at the car's certificate of the title.
Depending on which state you are on, New Hampshire's Certificate of Title display your plate number as the title number. However, other states' title might have a dedicated field that show the license plate information. If in doubt, check with your local dmv.
